Since its inception, the organization has been working especially in rural and urban areas in educational, economic and social form. Weaker and Harijan tribal backward classes are continuously striving to raise the status of women and children.
With the resolve to help the organization in development by maintaining credibility in the field of social service and removing the deadlocks that arise from time to time, it resolves to serve every section of the society including the poor labourers, the oppressed, those who are away from basic facilities, suffering from malnutrition, illiteracy and hunger. Taking it, she tries to move forward.
By maintaining credibility with the society and other voluntary organizations, the organization has been making continuous progress in achieving its objectives and goals for the last 18 years with the cooperation of the Government of India, Madhya Pradesh Government and other funding agencies, Panchayati Raj Institutions.
From the year 1993-94, under the scheme of Ministry of Social Welfare, Government of India, the work of development of education of tribal women was started in the area of tribal women literacy being less than 2 percent. At that time, tribal girls and women remained away from traditional tradition and development and were deprived of education. At that time tribal female literacy was approximately 0 percent whereas the female literacy of the district was 47 percent according to the census.
Similarly, Sidhi district was one of the most malnourished districts of Madhya Pradesh, where after the birth of the child, the newborn baby and the lactating mother were kept away from food for three days. Water was given after consulting the local pundits and priests on the auspicious day. With the resolve to remove the evils, the exploratory child development project by the organization was also implemented in the direct development block of Madhya Pradesh by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, the responsibility of which was given to the organization itself.
The work for women and children was started from the year 1994-95 by implementing the Malnutrition Women Awareness Program based on public participation by the organization, which is continuing even though the department does not provide suitable environment and support and the desired grant amount is not released on time. Due to this, the desired target in quality is not achieved.
The organization has successfully worked in relation to health and adolescent education in many development blocks of the district through the training of elected public representatives under the Panchayati Raj Act and the Integrated Population Development Program (IPD). A revolution has taken place among women through savings groups. The organization has formed more than 40 self-help groups and has tried to make them self-reliant by encouraging savings.
Violence against women is high in the district. The organization is making efforts for resistance and awareness in this direction through self-help groups.
Till now there was no Jan Shikshan Sansthan in District Sidhi. The organization passed a resolution and forwarded the application to the Honorable Kuwar Arjun Singh, Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India and requested for approval. In the month of November 2004, Jan Shikshan Sansthan was approved for District Sidhi. Now employment-oriented training is being provided to literate and other people of Sidhi district.
